Sadie is in the dog house!
I was playing in the yard last night with Gage and Sadie and Gage and I had went into Allen's garage for just a couple minutes. Gage started whining that he wanted a drink so we started to go into the house and on our way between Allen's shop and the house found a dead chicken! It wasn't there a couple minutes ago! So I went and got a rope and tied the dead chicken to Sadie. I have heard of doing this so your dog will never kill a chicken again so we will see. So far there are feathers all over the yard and a chicken being dragged every where.

Road Trip to Maham
Gage made the whole entire trip with out a melt down or anything! We made 3 15 minute bathroom breaks and one lunch stop on the way out there. I admit, everytime we stopped it was because I was ready not Gage'srequest! On the way home we followed Allen and his crew. They stopped a lot more for fuel so he had more stetch breaks on the way home.
There were 120 cars in Allen's class. He had to be inspected at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning. Their rules are very strict and if you don't follow their rules you don't run. They have you line up and when it's your turn they put your car up on a lift and take camera's and look in the frame, and look over it with a fine tooth comb. After the inspection he had his stick and lined up for the derby.
Rain. That's all I can say. It rained...and rained...and rained. It rained when the derby started Friday evening which was around 6:00 p.m. I think it finally quit about 10:00 p.m. that night. The mud was about 1/2 way up the wheels and cars couldn't get around very well. The first heat took 1 hour 45 minutes. Allen was in the second heat which still took around 1hour 30 min. They took top 4 cars to the finals. Just for making it to the finals you are guaranteed $500.00. He placed 5th! Once he was out the show was over ;(.
Saturday it was hot and muggy. Allen ran the consilation #1 and had a good time but didn't make it to the feature.
I had made Gage some signs and a shirt that had a picture of Allen's car on it with Winters across the back. Saturday afternoon while everyone was waiting for the finals I took Gage around and he asked some of the driver's to sign his shirt. He was so excited that people could write on his shirt.

Weekend update
Lets just say I am enjoying this gorgeous day sitting on my back deck in a lounge chair soaking of the rays so why not do something a little productive right...like update my blog.
Last Saturday we went to Katy Days in Parsons. It was really busy and Gage was still a little small to enjoy the bigger activities for the children. So we did walk around the park and let him play for a little bit while we were there. His favorite though was the train ride. He wanted to ride again but the line was really long and it took 20 minutes of waiting in line for the first ride I wasn't going to wait it out again.

Not a lot of activities have went on during this week. Memorial Day we hung out here at home and did take a short dip in the pool. Gage and Allen went to Coffeyville to look at a semi Thursday while I was at work (board meeting). Friday evening we went back and purchased the semi. Gage was so excited that he got to ride home in it. Then we got home from Coffeyville and I got my camera out trying to get some cute pictures of Gage and Sadie playing in the yard. We have tons of minoes (not sure how to spell that) that are out in our front pond. We try to feed them in the evenings and Gage loves throwing the food. So I got some cute pictures out in our front pond.
(Sadie is 9 weeks old here)

Sadie is always chewing on something and unfortunately its a monster truck this time.

(Sadie is about 8 weeks in these last two pictures)
Just for my own knowing for later on...Sadie is now sleeping in our garage all night in the kennel and not dirting it one bit. She has been doing this since the 3rd night of having her home. House training though is not going so great. She doesn't like going outside by herself and isn't letting us know when she needs to go. So I am monitering her intake and when she should need to go outside. She was biting and jumping on Gage a lot the first 2 weeks but I think I have finally broke her of that with a lot of disapline.
