The past week...

First off the excuse I am giving for not blogging for a long time is because my laptop has been at our tax place for about 2 weeks now. So this morning I decided to turn on and wipe off the dust of the computer in our office.

Currently I have been home now since Monday afternoon with a sick little boy. I took him to the doctor Tuesday and he has bronchial pneumonia. So some medicine and breathing treatments every 4 hours we are starting to be on the road to recovery. Today he is much better then the past 3 days.

Sunday I took Gage over to Joplin and we went to Macaroo's. Gage had an okay time. And it was too boring for him on the bouncer's his age so mommy had to craw and climb and lug him around on the bigger activities. Boy was I sore! He actually wanted to go after about an hour. Looking back at it maybe he wasn't feeling so well and just wasn't showing the signs of being sick just yet.


Saturday our cow Moo Moo (Gage came up with that) finally had her baby. We were so excited.

Sick Day...Again

Well after staying up till 1:00 a.m. this morning listening to Gage cry while I lay in bed with him trying to calm him down we called it another sick day.
I did get up this morning hoping to head off to work but when he walked in the bathroom while I was blow drying my hair I knew when one of his eye's wouldn't open it wasn't good. Plus, once again, crying. So I got his eye cleaned up and called in sick to work. At 8:00 a.m. I called the Dr.'s office and they said Dr. H didn't have any openings today if I wanted to see the P.A. they could get me in. I said no, I only want to see Dr. H and then they said well if you can be here by 8:20 we can get you in! Great, but wait... it's now 8:05! Needless to say I broke a few speed limit's on the way but we did get there, even though we were about 5 minutes late.
When Dr. H asked what had been going on I told him about the throwing up and mild fever but also that last night I had found a small knot toward the back of his neck kinda back under his ears. Well my guess was right...ear infection. Also the eye's he was rubbing at all night was possibly an early showing of pink eye!
I was very glad I took him today and didn't wait any longer. After a prescription for eye drops and antibiotics we should be on our way to recovery. I sure hope so b/c Gage has been very fussy and cranky.

At Christmas Racey received a present of treats. Gage has been giving her one treat a day. The other day he was being a little too sneaky and I caught him sampling Racey's treats! Here is what I found.

Chickens

The Chicken hobby is going great! I currently have 8 hens and 1 rooster. We did move the coop off of the island this past weekend. We actually even had 2 people that were disappointed that we moved it b/c now they can't stop and watch them from the road! I figured people would be happy they were moved. Funny what people do enjoy.

Sick Day

In the middle of the night Gage got sick in his bed and took a 4:45 a.m. bath. Then when we got up and around this morning he said he felt OK. But when I got a phone call from his babysitter at around noon saying that his belly hurt I came home to the rescue. Currently he is asleep in my lap. Mommy makes it all better!
