Well it has been a week since his birthday and here is the first post! It's been a little crazy around the Winters house.
April 11 we celebrated Gage's 3rd birthday at our house. He had a lot of fun and has enjoyed all the presents he received.
April 12 we celebrated Easter but since the rain we had to hunt eggs in the house. That wasn't much fun!
Here are a few pictures and a clip of him playing his guitar.

Chicks Week by Week
I purchased 20 chicks and 5 ducks March 6. Out of all 25 only 1 duck died the first night. Here are some pictures taken week by week of their growth. For anybody wanting ducks or chickens my words of wisdom would be go for the chicks! The ducks after about the first week make their living environment disgusting in a matter of minutes! I finally kicked the baby ducks out two days ago. They smelled so bad! I have been cleaning their stock tank bedding every 3rd day and by day 3 it would make you gag! I kicked the ducks out to the fenced in chicken coop and they have survived. The baby chicks bedding still looks as clean as it did Wednesday when I kicked the ducks out and changed it.

Snow?
Yes it is snowing now. First rain then a couple hours of sleet now snow. It is VERY slick out on the highways just out of Mound Valley. Allen was in Parsons around 11 this morning and came back for a wreck outside of town. He had forgot his pager here and I called. He didn't believe me when I said the wreck was from icy roads. Parsons hadn't had anything yet. I'm sure they'll get their fair share. Here is some current pictures during the storm

So far 1 1/2" -2" of snow
I'm Trenching!
The other night Gage came in the office where Allen and I were working and told us he was trenching. He does have a Ditch Witch Trencher toy but what was he talking about. Well here is what we found.
All it takes is a toy, taking the cushions off the sofa and a little potting soil and there you go!

First Time Fishing
We have taken Gage fishing since I was on maternity leave but Sunday was his first time to actually have his own rod & reel (Cars...imagine that). We took him to a couple ponds and he didn't have any luck. The third pond we went to had some hungry perch. He was able to reel them in all by himself. It was such a nice day and the third pond we went to was out of the wind which made it really nice.
