Introducing...

Sadie and Gage

I said after Racey got ran over that we weren't in any hurry to get another dog. I said two years, my mom said it would be two months and it took about two weeks!

Allen and I both decided on a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Their not suppose to bark much, very little shedding and be a good family dog.

Gage kept asking where was Racey. Saying he wanted a dog. Asking why he can't take Racey for a walk and when will she come back from doggy heaven.

So far she has done really well and has fit in our family. I'll let you know how the next few weeks go. It's like having a baby in the house again.

More Birthday Pictures

This post is a little out of order but there were some cute pictures from Gage's birthday party.

Watering Day

Gage and I planted some flowers in an old wagon we leave in the front yard the other day. Sunday we had went out to water our flowers and I left Gage watering the wagon while I went around the backyard for a second. This is what I came back to.

Note:no flowers in site! He was suppose to be watering the wagon.

Decorating Easter Eggs

This should have been done weeks ago...
Aunt Kelli came and helped decorate Easter eggs with Gage and I. We had a lot of fun and this year he actually did want to help dip the eggs and sticker their faces. While decorating the eggs he wanted to eat the eggs. I think he ate 3 eggs the entire time we were decorating them. I did purchase eggs since all of our "Organic" eggs are brown. I didn't think they would dye very well.

Here's to you Racey...RIP

September 21, 2001-April 28, 2009

Today our family pet Racey died. She was chasing the local sheriff that was going slow out of our driveway and she got ran over. It's been a sad day. We will miss you Racey.

Birthday Boy

Well it has been a week since his birthday and here is the first post! It's been a little crazy around the Winters house.

April 11 we celebrated Gage's 3rd birthday at our house. He had a lot of fun and has enjoyed all the presents he received.

April 12 we celebrated Easter but since the rain we had to hunt eggs in the house. That wasn't much fun!

Here are a few pictures and a clip of him playing his guitar.

Chicks Week by Week

I purchased 20 chicks and 5 ducks March 6. Out of all 25 only 1 duck died the first night. Here are some pictures taken week by week of their growth. For anybody wanting ducks or chickens my words of wisdom would be go for the chicks! The ducks after about the first week make their living environment disgusting in a matter of minutes! I finally kicked the baby ducks out two days ago. They smelled so bad! I have been cleaning their stock tank bedding every 3rd day and by day 3 it would make you gag! I kicked the ducks out to the fenced in chicken coop and they have survived. The baby chicks bedding still looks as clean as it did Wednesday when I kicked the ducks out and changed it.
