Chicks Week by Week

I purchased 20 chicks and 5 ducks March 6. Out of all 25 only 1 duck died the first night. Here are some pictures taken week by week of their growth. For anybody wanting ducks or chickens my words of wisdom would be go for the chicks! The ducks after about the first week make their living environment disgusting in a matter of minutes! I finally kicked the baby ducks out two days ago. They smelled so bad! I have been cleaning their stock tank bedding every 3rd day and by day 3 it would make you gag! I kicked the ducks out to the fenced in chicken coop and they have survived. The baby chicks bedding still looks as clean as it did Wednesday when I kicked the ducks out and changed it.

Snow Day

Sunday when it snowed we took Gage over to Big Hill to go sledding. He loved every second of it. We didn't take him on the really big hill but instead used the small hill by where you park. He liked it just as much and there was NO WAY he could have walked all the way up the hill. He had problems going up the little hill with help so we didn't even try. After sledding for a while we went home and made a snowman. He was interested only in the beginning. He then was only worried about eating the carrot and the croutons (we had to go grocery shopping later that day and all I could find were croutons to use for eyes, mouth and buttons).

Shopping

Last week Gage and I went wedding dress shopping with Miranda Vanderford and her family. We had a lot of fun and dragged Gage along to the different stores. He got a little bored at David's Bridal and this is what happened. He was playing hide-n-seek.
